Fans line up for new Air Jordan sneakers

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) – Some shoe lovers aren't exactly waiting for Santa.

The latest pair of limited edition Air Jordans hit stores Friday, and people were lining up.

Many San Diegans have been waiting outside Blends at 7th Avenue and Market Street downtown, since Thursday afternoon.

They say it's not just about the shoes - it's the legacy.

"They're shoes, but I mean, we just gotta have them," said Luis Romero.

"Jordan is one of the only people who could do this. Right now this is where it's at," continued Donte Glover

The shoes are released every few years. This year's black, white and red high tops retail for $185.
