Driver gets SUV stuck in mud on Fiesta Island

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The wet and muddy conditions caused a messy problem Wednesday for one driver, after his SUV got stuck in the mud.

All four of the vehicle's wheels were nearly submerged, and the front axel got stuck. The driver explained how it happened.

"I was coming this way and then it just... I went too far to the left I guess," he said.

He says San Diego police gave him until 10 p.m. Wednesday to get his SUV off the island.
