Panda cub enjoys new toys during examination

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The weekly playtime for the San Diego Zoo's panda cub has turned into quite a playtime for the little guy.

Xiao Liwu was given new toys Thursday, including a donut-shaped plastic ring, a stick of bamboo and a plastic ball.

The five-month-old cub is growing and developing normally. With his newfound mobility he is starting to explore more of the panda living areas and has ventured outside.
