Healthy meals ready to feed thousands of hungry kids

Posted: Updated:

(CBS 8) - Thousands of meals are packed and ready to feed hungry Southern California kids.

Campus crusade volunteers, totally 750, gathered at the Town and Country Resort to pack healthy meals for the non-profit organization Feeding Children Everywhere.

The meals will be delivered to schools across Southern California.

"That'll go into crisis food pantries in the public schools. So, there for children that maybe wouldn't have access to food at night or they don't have access to food on weekends," explained David Green the COO for Feeding Children Everywhere.

One dollar can feed four hungry children and donations and volunteers are always needed.
