Manhunt underway for home invasion robbers in Pacific Beach

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8 / CNS) - San Diego Police are searching for two gun-toting thieves who robbed two other men at a Pacific Beach home Wednesday, making off with a laptop and other computer equipment.

The bandits, who were dressed all in black and had bandanas over their faces, forced their way into the house in the 4200 block of Noyes Street and confronted the victims shortly before 6:30 a.m., according to San Diego police.

After stealing electronics from the men, the robbers fled the area on foot.

The thieves apparently carried out the crime with help from a female accomplice, SDPD Officer Frank Cali said. The woman had met the victims at a 7-Eleven store in the neighborhood a short time earlier, accompanied them back to the home and then left moments before the robbers barged in, according to Cali.

The assailants are described as a black male and a Hispanic male in their 20's carrying handguns.

The female accomplice is said to be Hispanic, in her early 30's with brown hair and wearing a light green sweater and jeans.

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A home invasion robbery in Pacific Beach is under investigation Wednesday morning.

Officers are on the scene of a home in the 4200 block of Noyes Street near the intersection of Reed Avenue, where the robbery occurred just after 6:00 a.m. They are still working out details of what happened, but say that the suspects are on the loose.

"We found two victims inside who indicated that they were robbed by two males at gunpoint and the males were described as a black and Hispanic male in their 20s, armed with hand guns and last seen on foot in the area," said Lt. Joe Ramos with the San Diego Police Department.

Apparently the suspects, who wore masks, got away with electronics, including some computer equipment.

Officers say they're now searching for the two male suspects and a woman who was with them, but reportedly did not participate in the robbery.

No injuries were reported.
