Search for bank robbery suspects shuts down part of I-805

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A section of Interstate 805 at Balboa was shut down Friday morning, as police searched for a tracking device that was discarded from a vehicle escaping after a bank robbery.

Southbound SR 163 at the Balboa exit was closed for about 30 minutes, but police re-opened the highway around 11:00 a.m.

The robbery was located at a Wells Fargo Bank in the 12,000 block of Scripps Summit Drive.

The two male suspects fled in a gray Ford Focus and are still on the loose.
