2 children, 2 adults hurt in San Carlos crash

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Two children are in critical condition after a crash in San Carlos.

Police say a man in a Camry was driving westbound on Navajo Road Monday night, when he tried to make a left turn onto Golfcrest Drive.

That's when his Camry was broadsided by a Nissan Xtera.

The man's two kids, who are six and seven years old, were rushed to Rady Children's Hospital with life threatening injuries.

Their father, and the driver of the Xtera were taken to a hospital and are expected to be okay.

Investigators say two dogs in the Xtera, escaped unharmed.
