Domestic violence suspect tased by police in Mira Mesa

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A man suspected of hurting his girlfriend and child is in custody Tuesday after being tased by police.

The incident happened just before 5 p.m. Tuesday in the 7800 block of Burlington Way in Mira Mesa. Police chased the man through the neighborhood before deploying the Taser and taking him into custody.

The woman and child were hospitalized. Their conditions have not been released.

The suspect was also taken to the hospital after he was arrested.
