SANTEE (CBS 8) - A wild police ends with guns drawn outside a local high school Friday.

The pursuit stretched from La Jolla to Santee with speeds reaching 120 miles per hour.

News 8 has learned the name of the suspect who led police on this high speed chase, he is 22-year-old Andre Montoya of San Diego.

Police say early Friday morning an officer located a stolen car near Regents Road and Nobel Drive in La Jolla.

The officer tried stopping the driver who was in the car but the person refused to stop, sending police on a high speed chase that went from Interstate-5 connecting to the 52 and driving up to 120 miles per hour.

The chase finally came to an end in Santee.

The vehicle proceeded to Mass Boulevard where San Diego Sheriff's deployed spike strips. The suspect jumped out of the vehicle tried to flee on foot.

He was taken into custody after a brief struggle.
