New shots of jumbo Humboldt squid off San Diego coast

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - More amazing video of hundreds of jumbo squid off the San Diego coast.

This is the most recent footage of the Humboldt squid, captured on a GoPro camera by Sport Fisherman Tim Green.

He says the squid are being caught by the hundreds.

"Nine miles from Point Loma, [we] got out there and stopped the boat. Within ten minutes we were catching squid," said Green. "Within an hour and a half, we had 480 giant squid on board. It was mayhem."

The mysterious, inky creatures appear off the coast unexpectedly and then leave in the same fashion.
