LEMON GROVE (CBS 8) - More than 150 people gathered at Dirk's Niteclub in Lemon Grove Sunday for a fundraiser honoring murder victim Jennifer Krajnak, the 30-year-old woman was shot in the head while walking home from the club earlier this month.
Sunday, there was an auction and a donation jar for people to help her family. A memorial fund has been set up in her name at California Coast Credit Union.
Friends say Sunday's fundraiser is the least they can do for a woman who was so giving and compassionate.
Investigators say the suspect was an acquaintance of Krajnak's. He was arrested in Oregon and efforts are underway to extradite him to San Diego.
