Santee house fire under investigation

SANTEE (CNS) - A two-alarm fire tore through a home in a neighborhood near Gillespie Field airport Tuesday.

The blaze erupted about noon in the 8300 block of Poinciana Drive, in an unincorporated area just south of Santee, according to Heartland Fire & Rescue.

It took crews about 45 minutes to fully subdue the flames, a dispatcher said. No injuries were immediately reported.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
