Officials working to ID body found floating at Santee Lakes

SANTEE (CNS) - A body was found floating in an East County lake Thursday, authorities reported.

The discovery at Santee Lakes Regional Park in the 9300 block of Fanita Parkway was reported about 8:30 a.m., a sheriff's dispatcher said.

The county Medical Examiner's Office was called in to take custody of the corpse for identification and autopsy purposes.
