Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - San Diego police Thursday morning asked the public to help locate a man suspected of teaming up with his brother to kill a third man in Golden Hill 24 years ago Thursday.

Domingo Gomez and his brother, Austolio, shot and stabbed Jose Paulo Hernandez-Ulloa, 27, to death inside a residence in the 3300 block of C Street, then dumped the body at a nearby location on Jan. 17, 1989, according to the SDPD's Homicide Unit.

Austolio Gomez was arrested and convicted for his part in the murder in 1990.

Domingo Gomez fled prosecution, possibly traveling to Las Vegas or Mexico, police said, noting Gomez was from Michoacan, Mexico.

Police described Gomez as Hispanic, in his 40s, 5 feet 6 and 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has "Love" tattooed on his left hand, "Helda" tattooed on his left arm and a dragon tattoo on his upper back.

Anyone with information was asked to call San Diego County Crime Stoppers' tip line at (888) 580-8477. Tipsters can choose to remain anonymous.
