SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A garage packed from floor to ceiling with items burst into flames.
The fire started just before midnight Thursday. Fire crews were quick on the scene in the 3900 block of Newton Avenue in Southcrest.
Flames as high as 30' lit up the sky behind a house. The detached garage was packed with belongings and the fire was reportedly hard to put out.
Firefighters spent an hour mopping up hot spots, but damage did not spread beyond the garage.
No one was hurt. The cause is still under investigation.
