Big mess as school bus crashes into hydrant in Lakeside

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A school bus crashed into a fire hydrant at a Lakeside shopping center Friday, creating a big mess.

It happened just after 1:30 p.m. in the 9800 block of Winter Gardens Boulevard.

A school bus driver parked the bus, but forgot to set the brake, and the bus crashed into the hydrant, sending water gushing high into the air as crews tried to figure out how to turn it off.
