SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Government offices will be closed Monday for the Martin Luther King Day holiday.
In the city of San Diego, the closures include libraries, recreation centers and pools. The Tecolote Nature Center will also be closed.
The Miramar Landfill will be open and curbside trash pickup will not be delayed this week.
The Mission Trails Regional Park Visitors Center and Chollas Lake will be open. The Balboa Park and Mission Bay golf courses will be open, but Torrey Pines will be closed to the public for the start of Farmer's Insurance Open activities.
County offices, libraries and animal shelters will be closed, as will community centers in Fallbrook, Lakeside and Spring Valley. County teen centers will also be shut down. However, other county-run parks will remain open.
The Metropolitan Transit System and North County Transit District both plan to run their buses, trains and trolleys on normal weekday schedules Monday.
