SAN DIEGO (CNS) - San Diego State University police Monday were on the lookout for six men who robbed someone on the campus at gunpoint then sped away in two cars.

All six men were armed with handguns when the robbery occurred on the southwestern edge of campus in the area of 5400 55th St. around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, according to SDSU police. They approached and demanded property from the victim, police said.

"The victim was not injured and police are currently following up on several leads," police said.

Investigators were looking for a man around 6 feet 4 inches tall, last seen wearing a white baseball cap and gray basketball shorts, and five other men, four of whom wore ski masks during the robbery.

One suspect fled in a silver Chrysler 300 and the others in a gray Dodge Challenger, with a partial California license plate number X354, police said.

Anyone with information about the robbery was asked to contact SDSU police at (619) 594-1991 or via email at policemail.sdsu.edu, or call San Diego County Crime Stoppers' anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477.
