SR-78 closures may cause traffic delays for commuters

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A traffic alert for drivers in the North County after parts of State Route 78 will be closed at times over the next two months.

Starting this week the 78 will be shut down from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. each weekday between Nordahl Road and Twin Oaks Valley Road.

During the closures, crews will fix damage along the Mission Road Bridge and finish new eastbound merging lanes.

The work is expected to last for eight weeks.
