Motorcyclist killed in multi-vehicle crash along I-15

POWAY (CNS) - An investigation was underway Friday into a six-vehicle pileup that killed a motorcyclist on the Poway stretch of Interstate 15.

The fatality on northbound Interstate 15 at Ted Williams Parkway occurred about 10:15 p.m. Thursday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Five cars were involved in the pile-up, along with the motorcyclist, who was taken to an area hospital, where he later died, the CHP reported.

The motorcyclist may have been racing another motorcyclist in the moments leading up to the crash, according to several broadcast reports.
