Slow-moving cab loses control, flips off ramp

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Good Samaritans come to the rescue of a woman trapped inside a cab after the driver lost control and the vehicle rolled onto its side.

It happened just after 10 a.m. Friday. The cab was on the Mission Center ramp at Interstate 8 when it hit a curb and flipped onto its side.

The cab driver was able to get out on his own, but two men who stopped to help had to push the car back onto its wheels before helping the female passenger get out.

The CHP warns drivers to use an abundance of caution on the wet roads.

"Slow down. Like I said, this one was less than 20 miles per hour and he still lost control. You know, just drive real safe, give yourself a little extra time to get to work or where ever you're going today," Officer Scott Deschenes said.

The woman was taken to the hospital. Her condition has not been made public.
