SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - An arrest has been made in a murder that has rocked a Mission Valley condo complex.
Over the weekend, 25-year-old Jonathan "Jake" Tenorio was found dead in one of the units. Tenorio was from Guam and was a Navy officer. Police have confirmed he was stabbed to death.
Police also confirmed Monday that they've arrested Tenorio's 21-year-old brother Zachary who is in custody in the downtown jail facing first-degree murder charges. Zachary will likely be arraigned Tuesday.
The U.S. Navy says Jake Tenorio was an officer serving on a missile cruiser and was a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis.
Police say Tenorio's roommate awoke early Sunday morning and found him dead. Homicide detectives said they noticed blood when they entered the apartment and said the victim may have been stabbed, but released no further information.
Tenorio's father was flying in to San Diego on Monday night to claim his son's remains.
On her Facebook page, Tenorio's wife, Christine, posted a picture of her late husband and the message "My angle in heaven. I love you my husband. Until we meet again."
Family and friends responded with dozens of condolences and messages of grief. Christine and Jake Tenorio had only been married seven months.
