Injured orca performing again at SeaWorld

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A killer whale that suffered a deep gash to his lower jaw is performing again at SeaWorld.

SeaWorld says Nakai's injury is 85 to 90 percent healed and the whale resumed performing during the first week of December.

Officials say the injury happened during a performance in September when Nakai scraped the track that holds the watertight glass between pools.

They say they have fixed the tank design issues.
