Top of palm tree snaps off, lands in yard in Loma Portal

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - It was an unpleasant surprise for a family living in the Loma Portal area.

The top of a palm tree fell off, striking the roof and balcony of the home before settling in the yard.

It happened in the 1000 block of Bangor Street Tuesday.

There was no word on the damage or clean-up.

No injuries were reported.
