Suspected rapist arrested in Chula Vista

CHULA VISTA (CBS 8) - San Diego police have arrested a suspected rapist they believe may be linked to other cases.

The SDPD Sex Crimes Unit is investigating and has asked that we not show his face or give his name because it could jeopardize future investigations if he is ever placed in a police lineup.

He was taken into custody at a home in the 1200 block of Chimney Flats Lane in Chula Vista.

Authorities say they had to call the suspect on the phone and persuade him to surrender.
