Man tasered after allegedly shoplifting from Big Lots

NATIONAL CITY (CBS 8) - A man is in custody Tuesday, suspected of shoplifting from a National City Big Lots store.

He took off after getting into an altercation with a security guard.

National City police caught up with him in the driveway of a home in the 1600 block of M Avenue. Police tasered him when he didn't follow their orders.

He was taken into custody and transported to the hospital with a leg injury.
