Horn Plastics Inc., maker and installer of the Super-Slide® line of plastic dump truck and trailer liners, has announced the opening of a new location in Katy, Texas.
Katy, TX (PRWEB) February 22, 2013
Horn Plastics Inc., maker and installer of the Super-Slide® line of plastic dump truck and trailer liners, has announced the opening of a new location at 21925 Franz Road, Suite 300 in Katy, Texas. The company named Casey Johnson as plant manager and says that it will initially employ three workers at the site.
Headquartered in Fargo, North Dakota, Horn Plastics opened its doors in 1983. Phil Horn founded the company after noticing during a harvest that sugar beets were not sliding easily out of trucks as they arrived at the sugar plant. Horn’s solution was engineered plastic bed liners: slippery enough to allow sugar beets and sticky soil to slide out of trucks, yet sturdy enough to protect truck beds and trailers from abrasive materials.
Since their founding, the company has expanded to offer several specialty variations of their non-stick product, fabricating liners for regular, extreme high wear, and hot temperature applications. Horn Plastics also manufactures liners for airboats, industrial hoppers and provides plastic welding and maintenance services to their customers. In addition to the new location in Katy, Texas, the company has locations in Fargo, ND, Wisconsin Dells, WI, and Boise, ID.
