Brooklyn Water Enterprises opens one-of-a-kind combined bagel, pizza and pasta and coffee creamery on first college campus

Students descending onto Florida State University this fall will be able to get a taste of the real Brooklyn – without ever having to leave campus. Brooklyn Water Enterprises, Inc. plans to open its first college campus location in September at the new FSU College Town development. The 6,000-square-foot restaurant now under construction combines The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. ®, The Original Brooklyn Water Pizza and Pasta Co.TM and The Original Brooklyn Water Coffee & Creamery Co.TM – all under a single roof.

"The company's is focused on its core concept of Where Healthy Tastes GreatTM and providing exceptional-quality, high-value products at aggressive price points to which college students will naturally gravitate,” said Steve Fassberg, Brooklyn Water Enterprises founder and CEO. “Our goal is to bring each student a little piece of home. And our hope is to leverage the college campus program toward developing life-long advocates for our brand.”

The restaurant will have a full on-site bakery to boil and bake Brooklyn Water BagelsTM – famous for their thin, crusty and golden brown exterior that’s moist inside – along with an authentic thin-crust Brooklyn Water PizzaTM. In addition, the Brooklyn Water Coffee & Creamery, which roasts a wide variety of the finest and freshest blended coffees in its Delray Beach, Fla. roasting facility, will supply a full array of Brooklyn Water CoffeeTM offerings, including the Cubsta ® – a proprietary concept of iced coffee kept cold and undiluted by using ice cubes made from coffee. All the fixings will be available at the coffee bar, including flavored creamers, soy milk, real U-Bet Chocolate egg creams and Cherry Coke.

The diversified college campus menu will include: All the traditional breakfast favorites of eggs, sausages, bacon with potatoes and more and a line of oven-fresh muffins. That includes the healthy choice Stud Muffin® line with its B All You Can BTM muffin, containing B Vitamins and Carrotz-MaticTM that’s made with carrots, raisins, walnuts, apples, coconut and cinnamon; Peanut Butter and Chocolate, Honey Bran with Raisins and Blueberry Chunk muffins. The restaurant will offer a cutting-edge lunch menu, including the trademarked Scooper Melt® (an oven-fresh bagel expertly scooped to the crispy shell and filled with your choice of meat, cheese, fresh veggies and condiments, then baked to melted perfection) and Bagoli® (a bagel stuffed Stromboli), reduced calorie Skinny Bagel Wraps TM and hot and cold BaninisTM (Bialy shaped hero sandwiches).

The location will have approximately 300 seats both indoors and outdoors and it’s scheduled to be open 24 hours a day so that students can get a late-night pizza or an early-morning coffee. The restaurant also will serve a full-selection of beer and wine and will delivery pizza to the dorms. In addition, it has been approved to be part of the college dining program.
