SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A woman has been charged with vehicular manslaughter in connection with the death of a nanny who was killed while pushing a baby stroller in Torrey Highlands.
Christine Padilla is also charged with failing to stop at a red light and failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
The accident happened February 1 at Camino del Sur and Via Verrazzano. The impact killed Monserrat Mendez. The 13-month-old she was caring for suffered critical injuries.
Padilla is scheduled to be arraigned on March 18.
