Crews battle condo fire in La Mesa

LA MESA (CNS) - A condominium unit caught fire in La Mesa early Friday but no one was hurt, authorities said.

The noninjury fire at Daybreak Condos at 5715 Baltimore Drive was reported shortly after 6 a.m., according to a Heartland fire dispatcher.

Neighboring residents were evacuated, La Mesa police said.

The cause of the blaze was under investigation.
