POTRERO (CNS/CBS 8) - Fire crews rescued a 42-year-old man who fell into a 35-foot well in the unincorporated community of Potrero, according to Cal Fire.
A member of the man's immediate family called 911 about 4:15 p.m. Sunday and said the man was unconscious after falling into the well off Potrero Circle near Potrero Valley Road, Cal Fire Capt. Mike Mohler said.
Jerry Fowler was working on a well with his father, when something went wrong and Fowler fell in.
Fowler was rescued unconscious after two hours. He was flown to Sharp Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
"All my brothers and sisters out there - in Christ Jesus - please pray for him - cause we know the power of prayer is healing," said Dodie Powell, the victim's sister.
