SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Three celebrity chefs helped spice things up aboard the USS John C. Stennis.
The so-called "Messlords" spent four days aboard the aircraft carrier last week.
Chef John Conley got into the kitchen with San Diego culinary specialist Seaman Mary Syloria, showing her a new recipe.
They helped prepare meals for the crew of more than 5,000 sailors and held a "pros vs. Joes" cook-ff battling the Stennis' culinary specialists.
The "Messlords" are award-winning chefs, including Hodad's owner Mike Hardin, who travel the world entertaining U.S. troops.
