SAN DIEGO (CNS) - San Diego police were on the lookout Tuesday for a man in his early 20s accused of beating and sexually assaulting a woman in the Old Town area after she rebuffed his advances.
The sexual assault in the 4600 block of Pacific Highway was reported just before 9 p.m. Monday, according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.
A 30-year-old woman told investigators that within a few minutes of meeting the man, he asked her to go to a hotel room with him, Delimitros said in a statement.
"When she refused, he beat her and sexually assaulted her behind Perry's Cafe," he said.
