SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Four San Diego police officers may face criminal charges stemming from a DUI case against a gang-unit detective, according to U-T San Diego.
In court documents, prosecutors allege detective Jeffery Blackford called two off-duty officers after he crashed his city-owned vehicle in Allied Gardens in December.
The filings state one of those officers then called in two other sergeants and asked one to bring a preliminary alcohol screening device.
All four reportedly arrived on scene before the crash was officially reported two hours after it happened.
Blackford was arrested on suspicion of DUI. He's pleaded not guilty to all charges.
