SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - San Diego Gas and Electric hosted its second annual Earth Day fair and alternative fuel car show for employees Thursday.

The event featured almost 100 exhibitors and vendors. Employees had a chance to learn more about alternative fuel cars and solar energy.

Several local organizations were on hand to talk about the benefits of conservation on our local environment.

"We have over 90 partners here, from the Riverpark Foundation to the San Diego Audubon. They've brought creatures out to show employees what they can experience in the region," SDG&E spokeswoman Allison Zaragoza said.

Thursday's event also featured a car show where employees displayed their alternative fuel vehicles.
