Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A man forced his way into a San Diego home Sunday and took a small amount of cash, some marijuana and a computer, a police officer said.

The robbery in the 5800 block of University Avenue occurred about 12:20 a.m., said San Diego police officer David Stafford.

The suspect knocked on the front door of the home. A man in his early 20s opened the door and was punched in the face. The suspect forced his way into the residence and took the items -- which included a Macbook Pro, Stafford said.

The suspect fled on foot toward a back alley. He was described as a 5-foot, 5-inch tall man weighing 280 pounds with tattoos on his face, he said.

Anyone with any information regarding the robbery was asked to call (888) 580-8477.
