SAN DIEGO (CNS) - For the second day in a row, a Wells Fargo bank branch in Pacific Beach was robbed Saturday, only this time the suspect was taken into custody.

Roosevelt Bracks, 33, entered the Wells Fargo Bank at 1300 Garnet Ave. about 9:30 a.m., walked up to a teller and handed them a demand note, said San Diego Police officer Frank Cali.

"The teller gave Bracks an undisclosed amount of money, as Bracks was leaving the bank the teller informed a security guard the man leaving just robbed the bank," Cali said.

Cali said a taxi driver witnessed Bracks cross the street and hand some of the bank money to an unidentified woman, who ran to the south on Fanuel Street and escaped.

"The security guard walked up and detained Bracks, and offers arrived and took him into custody," Cali said.

The female suspect was described as African-American in her early 30s, 5 feet-5 inches tall and with straight hair. She was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with a red liner and gray shorts.

On Friday, a bearded man who claimed to be carrying a concealed bomb robbed the same bank shortly before 1:30 p.m. The suspect was described as a 5-foot-6-inch Latino with a dark complexion and slicked-back hair with a full beard. He was wearing a blue shirt and carrying a backpack of the same color.

The robbery unit was continuing both investigations.
