SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - San Diego Fire-Rescue's bomb squad was called out to a home in La Jolla, after a military rocket was found on the property Saturday afternoon.
Fire investigators say family members were cleaning up the home of a recently deceased relative when the came across a metal tube at the home in the 5800 block of Soledad Mountain Road.
When they opened it, they found a four-foot military rocket inside.
The fire department was called to the scene and the bomb squad determined the rocket was harmless.
The U.S. Marine Corps will dispose of the rocket.
