Homegrown relief effort gets moving

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - San Diegans are showing their support for the victims of the Oklahoma tornado by donating to a relief effort started by military wives.

The women have collected plenty of supplies to send and they now have someone to transport them to Oklahoma.

The donations will be dropped off at the Gate Church in Oklahoma City, where they are expected to be distributed to those in need.

News 8's Angie Lee files this video report with details on the push to get this relief effort moving.
