Annual Vista Strawberry Festival

Posted: Updated:

VISTA (CBS 8) - Strawberry season means it's time for the Annual Vista Strawberry Festival.

Thousands of people headed to downtown Vista Sunday to enjoy all the strawberry fun. There were plenty of strawberry treats, like shortcakes, tarts and even pizzas.

And for some, the strawberry festival brings back childhood memories.

"I have very fond memories of childhood, driving down the main drag and strawberry stands like size of a baseball."

There was a flash mob and an adorable costume contest.

The festival was also a fundraising opportunity for many local sports teams, including the Vista High School football team.
