SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A man robbed a Wells Fargo bank branch near Lake Hodges Thursday, a sheriff's official reported.
The holdup in the 10500 block of Craftsman Way in 4S Ranch was reported shortly after 3 p.m., Lt. Mario Zermeno said.
The thief took off running through a nearby neighborhood.
It happened just as nearby Monterey Ridge Elementary School was let out for the day. Parents were told to quickly pick up their kids and go home.
No description of the thief was immediately available, the lieutenant said.
