San Diego gasoline price drops again

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County dropped Sunday for the 16th time in 18 days, decreasing three-tenths of a cent to $3.984.

The average price is 4.2 cents less than one week ago and 24.7 cents lower than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

However, the average price is 10.7 cents higher than one month ago, partially because of a 12-day streak of increases immediately before prices began to drop.

The average price has fallen 8.3 cents over the past 18 days, including 1.3 cents Saturday.
