SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A man who allegedly robbed a bank, then fled, was being sought by police Saturday.

It happened at 1:09 p.m. at Wells Fargo Bank at 610 1st Ave. near the Gaslamp Quarter, according to San Diego Police Officer Frank Cali.

"The suspect handed a teller a demand note, was given an undisclosed amount of money, then fled the bank northbound on 1st Avenue," Cali said.

Cali said a weapon was not seen on the suspect.

The suspect was described as a black man in his 30s, 5-feet 8-inches to 6-foot tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds with green eyes and a mustache.

He was wearing sunglasses, a gray hooded sweatshirt with possibly a hat underneath, black-and-white striped shorts and white knee socks with SD on them.

No one was injured.

The robbery unit was investigating.
