If you want to create or build something, but you don't have the space to do it we have found the place for you. It's called Maker Place and it is the first of its kind in San Diego.

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - If you want to create or build something, but you don't have the space to do it we have found the place for you. It's called Maker Place and it is the first of its kind in San Diego.

It's a 14,000 square foot facility that provides all the tools many dream about having in their very own big garage, but don't have the space or money to do so.

About a year and a half ago, local brothers Michael and Brian Salmon started Maker Place in the 1000 block of Morena Boulevard.

Maker Place has grown to a wide variety of hundreds of members, who pay a monthly fee to work there.

With Father's Day around the corner, this place will let folks flex their creative muscles and make dad something from the heart.
