SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A man was wounded in a shooting in Nestor, and San Diego police sought the alleged assailant Saturday, an officer said.
Officers were called to the vicinity of Ilex Avenue and Saturn Boulevard about 11:45 p.m. Friday after someone reported hearing gunshots in the area, and found a man with a gunshot wound to his abdomen, according to San Diego police Officer David Stafford.
The injured man was taken to a hospital to be treated, the officer said.
Police described the suspected gunman as black or Hispanic, in his late teens to early 20s, about 5-feet-10 and thin.
He was last seen running north away from the scene, Stafford said.
