DEL MAR (CBS 8) - It's incredible no one was hurt after a hot air balloon struck some power lines in the Del Mar area.

It happened just after 6:30 p.m. Saturday near Via de la Valle and El Camino Real.

According to witnesses, the hot air balloon appeared to be in the process of lifting off when it ran into trouble and started to deflate.

Jacqui Schmall had just finished dinner when she heard a loud noise outside.

"It was a dull thud. I thought it was a... I'd never heard a gunshot go off like that... That way. It was very loud. And it shook. I was standing. I could feel it in the floor. So it vibrated the floor."

Again, everyone on the hot air balloon was able to escape the basket safely.
