POWAY (CBS 8) - Some kids may spend their summer going to day camp or summer school, but a San Antonio girl is spending her time off bowling in every state.

Nine-year-old Natalie Savant brought her "Striking Summer" tour to the Poway Fun Bowl on Tuesday.

She's visiting each of the 48 continental states to raise money and awareness about youth bowling.

"Anybody can do it. It's really fun and it's amazing. It's just awesome," Natalie said.

"She's made so many friends in bowling, and in different states now too. She has people I know she'll keep contact with for the rest of her life," mother Ginger Bess said.

Natalie, who's been bowling since she was 5, is also raising money for a youth scholarship for bowling.

California is the seventh state she's bowled in.
