SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A local girl with Down syndrome is the envy of "beliebers" everywhere after she got to meet pop superstar Justin Bieber before Saturday night's concert at the Valley View Casino Center.

Marisa Cox has undergone dozens of surgeries including a kidney transplant and thanks to the efforts of the Down syndrome Action Group, Marisa's dream of meeting Justin became a reality.

She even got her hair done before the show. Marisa's mom tells News 8 what happened when her daughter met Bieber.

"He held her hand 'cause that's what she wanted to do... Touch his hand. So she definitely got to do that. And then he had her kiss him on the cheek, so she got to do that. And then we got our pictures and... So, she loved it! She was so excited!"

Adele Cox says Marisa is very happy about her experience with Justin Bieber and had a fun time at the concert.
