Woman found dead on San Pasqual hiking trail identified

A woman's body was found in the San Pasqual area Friday, about five miles east of the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, police said.

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Authorities Saturday released the name of the 65-year-old La Jolla woman whose body was found in the San Pasqual area, about five miles east of the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.

The body of Ellen Comisso was discovered in the brush off the San Pasqual Clevenger Trail by a pair of hikers at the San Dieguito River Park about 9:45 a.m. Friday, according to San Diego police and the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.

An autopsy has yet to be scheduled, according to the Medical Examiner's Office.

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - The body of a 65-year-old La Jolla woman was found in the San Pasqual area Friday, about five miles east of the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, authorities said.

A pair of hikers at the San Dieguito River Park discovered the body in the brush off of the San Pasqual Clevenger Trail about 9:45 a.m. and called 911, according to San Diego police and the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.

Personnel from the county Medical Examiner's Office would identify the woman and determine how she died, San Diego police Officer Frank Cali said.

An autopsy has yet to be scheduled, according to the Medical Examiner's Office.

The woman's name was withheld pending family notification.
