SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A Linda Vista man was behind bars Wednesday for allegedly shooting his identical twin in the leg following an argument that erupted during a raucous late-night party they hosted, authorities reported.

Matthew Paul Corner, 34, allegedly opened fire on his brother, Michael, with a pistol at their home in the 6800 block of Fashion Hills Boulevard about 5:30 a.m., according to San Diego police.

The siblings had been quarreling "throughout most of the night," SDPD Sgt. Robin Rose said.

Paramedics took the victim to Sharp Memorial Hospital for treatment of an apparently non-life-threatening wound. His brother was booked into county jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

Bail for the suspect was set at $50,000 bail. His arraignment was scheduled for Friday afternoon.
